A POST-ELECTION COMMUNITY DISCUSSION IN BROOKLYN
Win or Lose: Imagining Beyond Campaign Mythologies
This is an in-person facilitated community discussion, gathered to process the outcomes of a freshly decided election, locate ourselves and our priorities in the face of incomplete and damaging political mythologies.
What possibilities are erased, omitted, from our national story telling?
How do we identify the work that belongs to us, and that we are called to undertake?
What if our binary notions of victory and defeat obscure our capacity to imagine into liberatory futures?
Together, we will explore our personal and community-centered priorities and callings - and consider the ways we may feel led to re-commit or re-prioritize our efforts in the wake of the election.
This is not a space to persuade or debate. This is a circle-group discussion, where people will have an opportunity to share in in response to prompts and queries - interspersed with periods of silence, reflection, breath work, and contemplative exercises.
The goal is to ground and refresh ourselves and prepare for reorganized challenges and work that await us in a new political post-election context.

For all the spaces I create, virtual or tangible, I aim to foster, for those who pass through, an authentic & honest experience where one can get strengthened emotionally & spiritually while getting fed visually or even physically (Merci Maison May).
